The Disabled Veterans' Knight in Shining Armor

By James Rodrigues

At the age of seventy, Jerry D. Pierson continues to fight for California veterans. In an era in which government tends to turn its back on our disabled military personnel, Pierson, the president and CEO of Disabled Veterans Association of California, continues to battle for those individuals and their families.

Whether he's on his never ending search for used MacIntosh computers in order to empower his flock of ex-service personnel or he's limping off to assist a veteran with an emergency, Pierson always seems to be in motion. This is particularly amazing because he suffers from multiple serious injuries.Does the pain bother him? Of course! Does it stop him? No way!

Pierson provides not only computer equipment and training but also job placement (even if you want to work at home).

He recently set up a new company in Hollywood called "Veteran's Media-USA." It will provide graphic and print media plus animation. The company will act as an art and media department for 387 other veterans' organizations throughout the United States.

If you'd like to join Jerry in "his universal heroes club," you can contact him by e-mailing him at pierson.dvac1@att.net. You can also give him a call at (323) 668-2121 from Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 11am.
